This bill extends the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, which is an agreement between states allowing physicians to obtain a license in multiple states through a streamlined process, until June 30, 2034. It amends Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA) Title 4, Chapter 29, which deals with governmental entity termination dates, by removing a specific subdivision and adding a new section that sets the termination date for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact and other governmental entities created in 2032 to June 30, 2034, while also allowing for their continuation or reestablishment.
