This bill amends existing Utah law to clarify the definition of gambling by explicitly including "a proposition bet," which is defined as a bet on an individual action, statistic, occurrence, or non-occurrence, in addition to lotteries. The bill also makes a minor technical correction to the definition of "internet service provider" and "online gambling" by changing "Internet" to "internet" and clarifies that the definition of gambling applies regardless of whether a device has a preview or pre-reveal feature. The changes are set to take effect on May 6, 2026.
