This bill extends the Tennessee State Veterans' Homes Board until June 30, 2028, and requires the board to report to the education, health, and general welfare joint evaluation committee by December 31, 2026, to provide an update on its progress in addressing issues identified in a performance audit report from December 2025. The bill also makes technical changes to Tennessee Code Annotated (TCA), which is the official compilation of the state's laws, by removing a reference to the board in one section and adding it as a new subdivision in another, clarifying its existence and creation under state law.
