Specifically, the bill clarifies that if a skilled nursing facility or assisted living facility that provides ALTCS services undergoes a change of ownership, the new owner can request that the ALTCS administration and its program contractors continue to process claims and make payments using the previous owner's certification number and subcontracts until the new owner's enrollment and contracting process is finalized, ensuring continuity of care for ALTCS members. The bill also makes minor technical corrections to wording, such as changing "per cent" to "percent" and clarifying language around negotiated rates and the competitive bid process for subcontracts.
