This bill extends the Interstate Compact for Juveniles, a multi-state agreement that facilitates the interstate supervision of delinquent and non-delinquent juveniles, until June 30, 2034, by amending Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 4, Chapter 29 and Title 37, Chapter 4, Part 1, and also removes a specific subdivision related to this compact from existing law while establishing a new section that sets a termination date for certain governmental entities, including the Interstate Compact for Juveniles, to June 30, 2034, with provisions for their continuation or reestablishment.
