Furthermore, the bill expands the State Auditor's authority to conduct financial and legal compliance audits of entities receiving public funds through contracts or grants, including a random sampling of such entities, and requires state agencies, local governments, and public officials to immediately report any known or suspected loss of public funds or illegal activity to the State Auditor.
