AI Summary

This bill provides an additional $500,000 from the state's General Fund to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to be given as State Aid to the Township of Fairfield in Essex County for the specific purpose of dredging and restoring a portion of the Passaic River that flows through their municipality. The Township of Fairfield must submit a plan to the Commissioner of Environmental Protection detailing the project, which can include activities like dredging, cleaning, and removing debris, as long as they are consistent with a general permit already issued for Passaic River restoration.
