This bill establishes a "Kidney Donor Insurance Fund" within the Department of Banking and Insurance to cover the health insurance costs for individuals who donate a kidney. This coverage will last for the donor's entire life and will include the highest level of services available, known as the "gold level," along with prescription drug coverage. This act applies to all live kidney donations made on or after the date the bill becomes law.
