"Qualifying services" encompass volunteer firefighting and fire prevention, emergency medical services, auxiliary police officer services, and emergency rescue services provided to nonprofit organizations that exclusively benefit the public, including all legally required training for these roles. This subtraction aims to provide a tax incentive for individuals who dedicate their time and effort to these essential volunteer roles.
