Bill Summary
This bill repeals Code section 37A.1, which makes the sale, trade, or transfer of veterans commemorative property on a person’s property a simple misdemeanor if done without the department of veterans affairs’ authorization, creates criteria for the department to use in granting authorization, and gives the department rulemaking authority to administer the Code section. The bill also strikes a corresponding provision requiring the department to authorize a sale, trade, or transfer of veterans commemorative property pursuant to Code section 37A.1.
