This bill allows the Board of Medicine to grant a license to practice chiropractic to foreign-trained chiropractors who meet specific criteria without requiring them to take a licensing examination. To qualify, an applicant must hold a chiropractic degree from an accredited institution outside the United States, possess a current, unrestricted license from a foreign jurisdiction with educational and professional standards deemed equivalent to those in the Commonwealth by the Board, or have previously held such a license without disciplinary action. Additionally, they must have practiced chiropractic for at least two years, have no history of disciplinary issues, impairment, or criminal convictions that could endanger patients, be legally authorized to work in the United States, and have successfully passed specific examinations administered by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, namely Parts I, II, and III, and the Special Purpose Examination for Chiropractic.
