This bill expands the definition of a "predicate criminal act," which are offenses considered when determining if someone is involved in a criminal street gang. Specifically, it adds the felony and misdemeanor offenses of carrying a concealed weapon, and the misdemeanor offense of pointing, holding, or brandishing a firearm, air or gas operated weapon, or an object that looks similar, to the list of acts that can be considered predicate criminal acts.
