This bill makes it illegal for individuals whose presence in the United States is not authorized by federal law to possess a falsified commercial driver license, classifying this as a class 5 felony, which is a serious criminal offense. If a person commits this offense while operating a commercial motor vehicle, that vehicle will be seized for forfeiture. If the seized vehicle is owned by the offender, it will be sold at auction. If the vehicle is owned by an employer who knowingly hired the unauthorized individual, the vehicle will also be sold at auction, and the employer will face a civil penalty equal to the vehicle's fair market value. All money collected from these sales and penalties will be deposited into the Arizona highway user revenue fund, which is a fund dedicated to transportation-related expenses.
