This bill appropriates $460,000 from Alabama's Education Trust Fund to Southern Preparatory Academy in Camp Hill for its educational program during the fiscal year ending September 30, 2027, with the funds intended for public education support and subject to various state financial control and management acts, including the Budget and Financial Control Act and the Budget Management Act. Before any funds can be released, the academy must submit an operations plan for fiscal year 2027 with measurable goals to the Director of Finance for approval, along with an audited financial statement for fiscal year 2025, and will be required to provide quarterly reports on expenditures and accomplishments, as well as an end-of-year performance report detailing work done, services provided, and associated costs, all of which will be forwarded by the Director of Finance to the Legislative Council. This act is set to become effective on October 1, 2026.
