This bill, concerning contracts and short-term rentals, defines key terms such as "guest," "owner," "renter," "short-term rental" (defined as occupancy of a residential property for less than thirty consecutive days for compensation), and "short-term rental platform" (an online service facilitating these rentals). It allows owners of properties used for short-term rentals to require renters and their guests to submit a photograph or digital image of their identification after the rental agreement is completed, provided this requirement is communicated beforehand. Furthermore, owners are granted the right to cancel a rental agreement without penalty if they discover a discrepancy between the information provided by the renter and their identification.
