This resolution, originating from the South Carolina House of Representatives, formally recognizes and honors the Columbia High School Jobs for America's Graduates (JAG) program for its significant contributions since 2003. The Columbia High School program, along with its Career Association, achieves this by providing mentorship, job readiness training, leadership development, and career exploration through partnerships with businesses, offering students "The JAG Advantage" which includes employer engagement, project-based learning, and a trauma-informed, career-focused environment. This program has demonstrably improved college and military acceptance rates, enhanced College and Career Readiness (CCR) indicators, and offers post-graduation support for a year, serving as a crucial life-changing support system for students to overcome obstacles and thrive.
