This resolution formally recognizes January 26, 2026, as Georgia Association of Broadcasters Day, honoring the Georgia Association of Broadcasters (GAB) for its significant contributions to the state. The GAB, which is the first and oldest broadcast association in the nation and represents over 400 local radio and television stations in Georgia, is commended for informing the public, fostering dialogue on important issues, and playing a crucial role in disseminating vital information during emergencies like natural disasters and severe weather, as well as during election periods to keep citizens engaged. The resolution also directs the Clerk of the House of Representatives to provide a copy of this recognition to the GAB.
