This bill amends the Oklahoma Milk and Milk Products Act to clarify and expand exemptions for certain milk sales. Specifically, it allows for incidental sales of "ungraded" raw milk or raw milk products directly to consumers at the farm where they are produced, and it permits the advertising of these sales, as well as the sale of goat milk. The bill also increases the limit for what is considered an "incidental sale" from an average of 100 gallons per month to 1,500 gallons per month for milk and milk products. An "ungraded" product means it has not undergone the standard quality and safety testing required for graded milk. The bill also includes an emergency clause, meaning it will take effect immediately upon passage and approval.
