The bill also establishes a presumption of confidentiality for minors' personal information, which can only be overcome with parental consent, and allows for an appeal process if a user's age designation is incorrect. The Attorney General is authorized to enforce these provisions and can impose civil penalties of up to $2,500 per violation. This legislation is declared an emergency, meaning it will take effect immediately upon passage and approval.
