This bill, titled the "Judea and Samaria Act," prohibits state agencies in Oklahoma from using the term "West Bank" to refer to the territory known as "Judea and Samaria" in any official government materials or using state funds to create such materials, with "Judea and Samaria" defined as the land controlled by Israel from Jordan since the 1967 Six-Day War, specifically south of Jerusalem for Judea and north of Jerusalem for Samaria. An exception is provided where the head of a state agency can waive this prohibition if they determine it's in the state's best interest and submit a written explanation to legislative leaders within thirty days of making that determination. The bill also defines "official government material" as any guidance, rule, briefing, press release, or communication prepared by a state agency, and "state agency" as any governmental entity with rule-making authority. This act is set to become effective on November 1, 2026.
