This bill modifies the eligibility requirements for community college gap assistance, a program designed to help individuals fund their education at community colleges. This change means that receiving SNAP E&T benefits will no longer disqualify someone from receiving community college gap assistance. The bill also repeals the original section of law it amends and declares an emergency, meaning it will take effect immediately upon passage.
