This bill establishes a new position within the office of the state treasurer called the "Coordinator of Federal Funds Recovery," whose main responsibility will be to track all federal money allocated to Missouri. Additionally, the coordinator will set up a system for state workers to report any federal money that was appropriated but never received, though they won't be required to recover federal funds that are simply passed through the state to local governments as grants or formula-based allocations, but will ensure the state collects its administrative portion of these pass-through funds.
