This bill amends the Oklahoma Security Guard and Private Investigator Act by expanding the definition of a "security guard" to include individuals working unarmed in roles such as ushers, ticket agents, gate agents, or credential verification agents at events like concerts, festivals, and sporting events, whose duties may involve checking tickets and bags, directing patrons, enforcing venue policies, monitoring security equipment, and reporting potential violations to certified security guards or law enforcement. These contracted employees at entry points must be supervised by a CLEET-certified security guard or law enforcement officer, with a ratio of one certified supervisor for every fifteen uncertified contractors at each entry point. The bill also specifies an effective date of November 1, 2026.
