This bill, known as the Oklahoma Health Care Workplace Incentive Safety Act, establishes a program to improve workplace safety in hospitals and health care systems. It creates the Oklahoma Health Care Workplace Safety Committee, composed of representatives from the State Department of Health, health care human resources, the Oklahoma Hospital Association, and health care support staff, to develop and administer a system for incentivizing and ensuring appropriate workplace safety standards, particularly concerning workplace violence. Participating hospitals will be required to review their safety standards and adopt formal policies to address workplace violence, with the Committee assessing compliance and reporting to the Legislature annually starting November 1, 2026. The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission will be responsible for issuing incentives based on a system developed by the Committee and will also create rules for the program's implementation.
