This bill modifies the laws concerning grand larceny and receiving stolen property in Oklahoma by adjusting the value thresholds that determine the severity of the crime and its associated penalties. Specifically, it adds "one or more firearms" as a factor that elevates the offense to a higher felony class, regardless of their value, and also increases the value threshold for certain felony classifications. For grand larceny, property valued at $15,000 or more, or any number of firearms, will now be considered a Class C2 felony. For receiving stolen property, the same applies: if the property is one or more firearms or valued at $15,000 or more, it will be classified as a Class C2 felony. The bill also specifies that these changes will take effect on November 1, 2026.
