This bill amends existing Oklahoma law concerning interventional pain management by updating definitions and establishing penalties for violations. Similarly, violations by physicians will be considered unprofessional conduct under their respective licensing acts, also carrying potential penalties. The bill also specifies that these new penalty provisions, except for those related to certified registered nurse anesthetists operating freestanding pain management facilities, will take effect on November 1, 2026.
