This bill amends existing Oklahoma law regarding applications for notary commissions, specifically removing the requirement for applicants to provide their home street address. Previously, applicants had to list their county of residence and street address if they lived in Oklahoma, or their place of employment address in Oklahoma and their residence address if they lived in another state. Now, the application will only require the applicant's name, former names, daytime phone number, electronic mail address, age, commission type, U.S. citizenship status, confirmation of no felony conviction, English literacy, and signature. The bill also specifies an effective date of November 1, 2026.
