This bill requires that a medical cannabis cardholder, which is an individual registered to use cannabis for medical purposes, must provide their registry identification card or card number when requested by a law enforcement officer. Failure to do so will make the cardholder subject to arrest, overriding other protections previously granted by the law. The bill also makes a similar requirement for nonresident cardholders, who are individuals from outside the state but are permitted to use medical cannabis there under specific conditions.
