This bill appropriates $31,400,000 from the State General Fund to the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning for specific projects at Jackson State University during the fiscal year of July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The funds are designated for renovations to the T.B. Ellis Building and Annex ($12,900,000), the Heritage Building ($8,500,000), and the Rose E. McCoy Auditorium ($5,700,000), as well as for the development and implementation of campus safety project enhancements to better protect students, faculty, and staff ($4,300,000). The money will be disbursed by the State Treasurer upon proper authorization.
