It extends the required notice period for public hearings on zoning changes from at least fifteen days to thirty days, and also mandates that notice be given fifteen days prior to the hearing, with the proposed changes made available for public review in local government offices or libraries, and on the local government's website if one exists, for at least thirty days before the hearing. Additionally, the bill allows for social media platforms to be used for providing notice under certain circumstances. For appeals concerning these zoning changes, the timeframe for filing a written notice of appeal with the circuit clerk is extended from ten days to twenty days after the decision is made by the county's Board of Supervisors or a municipality's governing authority.
