AI Summary
This bill removes the requirement that families applying for child care assistance must agree to and cooperate with the Department of Human Services in establishing paternity and enforcing child support and medical support orders for their children as a condition of receiving that assistance. Instead, families can voluntarily seek help from the state's office of child support services for these matters, but it will no longer be mandatory for them to qualify for or access child care assistance. The bill also specifies that it will become effective immediately upon its passage.
