AI Summary

This bill allows for temporary film production activities on certain agricultural lands in counties with populations under 500,000, provided these activities are secondary to the primary agricultural use and do not cause permanent damage to the land or displace active farming operations, with a cumulative limit of thirty days per year unless a special permit is obtained. It establishes an Agricultural Film Production Land Use Oversight Committee within the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism (DBEDT) to develop film permit application requirements, facilitate permit issuance, and advise on regulations, and requires DBEDT to adopt rules and consult with state and county agencies to issue these permits through a consolidated process. The bill also clarifies that temporary filming activities are considered a permissible conditional accessory use on agricultural lands, and it will take effect on July 1, 2050.
