AI Summary

This bill adopts the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact, also known as PSYPACT, to allow licensed psychologists to practice across state lines, addressing the growing demand for mental health services, particularly in underserved areas. The Compact permits psychologists to provide telepsychology services, which are psychological services delivered through telecommunication technologies, to clients in other participating states, and also allows for temporary in-person, face-to-face practice in another state for up to 30 days per year. The Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs is required to create rules to implement and manage this Compact, with the provisions related to the Compact itself taking effect on January 1, 2028, and the overall bill becoming law on January 30, 2050.
