This bill appropriates funds for the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation to establish new specialist positions to bolster the state's technology and innovation ecosystem for the fiscal year 2026-2027. * $0 is appropriated from the General Fund for the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation to establish a full-time equivalent permanent advanced manufacturing and cybersecurity specialist position. This role will support statewide initiatives, including activities formerly funded by the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Partnership, advance legislative priorities in advanced manufacturing and cybersecurity, provide technical assistance to Hawaii manufacturers and technology companies, and support workforce development and cybersecurity readiness. * $0 is appropriated from the General Fund for the Hawaii Technology Development Corporation to establish a full-time equivalent permanent marketing and branding specialist position. This position will support the corporation's strategic plan by marketing technology programs, developing statewide branding efforts, managing public information and outreach, and supporting events and talent attraction initiatives. This Act is effective on July 1, 3050.
