AI Summary

This bill requires all school districts and public charter schools in Mississippi to include a video or similar animation, such as "Meet Baby Olivia," in their science curriculum for students in grades 6 through 12, with the goal of teaching them about the biological development of a human being in the womb. The material must show every stage of development inside the uterus, highlighting significant milestones in cell growth and organ development. Before the video is shown, schools must provide written notification to parents and guardians, who will have the option to opt their children out of viewing it in writing. Additionally, schools must ensure that their compliance with this new requirement does not violate any federal or state laws or regulations. This act is set to take effect on July 1, 2026.
