This bill mandates that nursing homes ensure each resident receives monthly medical visits, including at least two in-person physician visits annually, and conduct a comprehensive assessment each year to evaluate a resident's needs and daily functioning capabilities. These assessments must be reviewed at least every three months, or more often if a resident's physical or mental condition significantly changes. The bill also requires nursing homes to notify residents, their families or legal representatives, and the Department of Health if a scheduled monthly medical visit or comprehensive assessment is delayed. Furthermore, the Department of Health will be responsible for publishing nursing home compliance information and an annual accountability scorecard on its website.
