This bill clarifies that individuals applying for an optometrist license or seeking to reinstate their license must pass all parts of the required examination, and it removes the State Board of Examiners in Optometry's responsibility to administer these exams, instead requiring applicants to pass exams as determined by the Board. It also establishes a new rule that a licensee cannot remain on inactive status for more than six consecutive years, and for those whose licenses have expired for five years or more and have not been on inactive status, they will need to pass all sections of a required examination to be reinstated.
