This joint resolution calls for the Vermont Senate and House of Representatives to convene in a Joint Assembly, a meeting where both legislative bodies come together, on February 19, 2026, at 10:30 AM. The purpose of this assembly is to elect individuals to two important positions: an Adjutant and Inspector General, who will serve a two-year term starting March 1, 2026, and two legislative Trustees for the Vermont State Colleges Corporation, who will each serve a four-year term also beginning March 1, 2026. The resolution also stipulates that if the elections are not completed on the initial date, the Joint Assembly will reconvene at the same time on each following day, excluding Saturdays and Sundays, until these positions are filled.
