AI Summary
This bill, concerning the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) in Mississippi, primarily revises the requirements for retirement eligibility for members in the "New Tier" of the system. Specifically, it lowers the number of years of creditable service required to retire without regard to age from 35 to 30 years for those who joined PERS on or after March 1, 2026. Additionally, it adjusts the minimum retirement age for some members to 60, aligning it with earlier tiers, and modifies how retirement allowances are calculated and reduced for those retiring before completing 30 years of service or before age 65.
