Bill Summary
Under current law, an assessor or the assessor’s staff must redact the name of a participant in the address confidentiality program from documents displayed for public access on an internet site, upon the participant’s request. This bill extends this requirement to recorders and requires recorders to implement and maintain a process to facilitate such requests. The bill also strikes the reference to the assessor’s staff for purposes of the requirement.
