This bill appropriates $2,000,000 annually for fiscal years 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 from the state lottery fund to the department of gaming to establish a problem gambling telehealth pilot program. The department of gaming is directed to partner with a digital health organization to create a mobile-based telehealth application that offers immediate, free access to services for residents struggling with gambling addiction, without requiring traditional insurance at the point of service. The application will include self-guided clinical activities, urge monitoring, peer support, educational content, resources for family members, and integration with existing state treatment programs. The department will be required to submit annual reports on the program's effectiveness, including user numbers, engagement, and recovery outcomes, to state leadership through December 31, 2029.
