This bill requires that when a fiduciary, who is a person legally appointed to manage the affairs of someone deemed unable to do so themselves (often referred to as a person with a disability, ward, or respondent), files their annual sworn accounting of receipts and expenditures with the court overseeing a guardianship or conservatorship, they must now include the date of their last personal contact with the person they are responsible for. This amendment to Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 34, aims to ensure the court has more up-to-date information about the fiduciary's engagement with the person under their care, while still respecting privacy by not requiring the disclosure of confidential medical information.
