The bill also grants individuals who suffer harm due to violations of this act the right to sue for damages, punitive damages, and legal costs, and empowers the Attorney General to take legal action on behalf of the state to enforce the act, seeking injunctions and restitution. These remedies are in addition to any other legal options available. The act is set to take effect on July 1, 2026.
