These screenings must follow the latest guidelines from the International Association of Fire Fighters, and generally, these entities cannot charge firefighters any copayment, coinsurance, or deductible for these screenings, except for those enrolled in a high-deductible health plan, who may still be subject to their plan's deductible. This provision aims to ensure that professional firefighters have access to free cancer screenings as a preventative health measure.
