The bill clarifies that this immunity covers claims arising from the temporary storage or return of the firearm, even if the return leads to injury or death, as long as the licensee's conduct was not otherwise unlawful. It also specifies that firearm owners must provide details about the firearm being held and can designate a contact person in case of emergencies. The bill prohibits municipalities from imposing additional regulations on these agreements and requires licensees to destroy records of these agreements within 90 days of termination, unless federal law requires otherwise. Furthermore, it states that entering into such an agreement or the timing of a firearm's return should not be used against the owner in any civil action.
