This resolution proposes a constitutional amendment to the Nebraska Constitution that would explicitly grant specific rights to persons with disabilities. If approved by voters, the amendment would add a new section to Article I, section 1, of the state constitution. This new section would guarantee that individuals with disabilities have the right to access public facilities, lodging, and transportation, as well as the right to healthcare services and support that are comprehensive enough to meet their needs and promote their inclusion in community life, irrespective of their age, the severity of their disability, or their life stage.
