This bill allows for the introduction of video recordings of child victims being interviewed by a forensic interviewer as evidence in legal proceedings, specifically when the interviewer is an employee of the department of children's services and the interview is conducted under the supervision of a child advocacy center that meets certain requirements. A child advocacy center is a facility that provides services to child victims of abuse or neglect. This provision, which amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 24-7-123, is temporary and will expire on July 1, 2031, with the act taking effect on July 1, 2026.
