This bill establishes a Board of Directors for the Department of Human Services, effective July 1, 2026, to assist and oversee the Executive Director in governing the department. Legislators serving on the Joint Oversight Committee of the Department of Human Services will continue to meet quarterly, or more often if called by the chair, with the Executive Director required to attend and provide information.
