This bill proposes to add a new section to the Michigan Vehicle Code, which governs vehicles in the state. Revenue generated from the sale of these plates will be deposited into a newly established "Golf Association of Michigan Foundation fund" within the state treasury. The state treasurer will manage and invest this fund, with all interest and earnings remaining in the fund. Quarterly, the state treasurer will disburse the money from this fund to the Golf Association of Michigan Foundation to fund programs that create opportunities through golf, including educational and career pathways, while also promoting environmental stewardship, education, and community engagement.
