This bill requires the Public Education Department to report and publish data on the results of standards-based assessments, which are tests used to measure student progress against state learning standards, from the immediately preceding school year. This report must be made public on the department's website in an accessible format by September 1st of each year, and it will include information on proficiency rates for each tested subject and grade level, broken down by school, district, and statewide performance, as well as by student demographics such as ethnicity, race, limited English proficiency, students with disabilities, poverty, and gender. The bill also makes technical changes to existing law regarding the reporting of student assessment data and accountability information.
